West Indies and Kolkata Knight Riders spinner Sunil Narine’s bowling action has been reported again after Saturday’s Indian Premier League match against Kings XI Punjab.
After the match, the on-field umpires reported to the match referee about Narine’s bowling action.
League authorities said in a statement, “The report was made by the on-field umpires according to the IPL’s suspected illegal bowling action policy.”
Narine stood out with figures of 2-28 from his four overs to guide his side to a 2 run win against Kings XI Punjab in Abu Dhabi.
However, the West Indies spinner Narine can continue to bowl in the tournament until he is reported again.
He was subsequently reported again in the 2015 IPL and also after a one-day match against Sri Lanka that year.
