Left-arm opener Naim Sheikh has been added to Bangladesh's 16-man squad for the last match of the ongoing three-match series against Sri Lanka.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the revised squad for the last ODI on Wednesday.

On May 20 (Thursday), BCB announced a 15-member squad for the first two ODIs against Sri Lanka. Besides, 4 people were kept on standby. Naeem Sheikh was added to the main squad from the stand by list.

Naeem was in the team for the last tour of New Zealand. But he returned to the country without playing any match there. After that, he did not get a place in the team for the first two ODIs against Sri Lanka. But in the last match, he was called in a hurry.

Naim Sheikh is going to be the fourth opener in the squad after Liton Das, Tamim Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar. It is expected that Naim Sheikh may replace Liton Das in playing XI for the last match.

Bangladesh Squad:  Tamim Iqbal Khan (captain), Liton Kumar Das, Naim Sheikh, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mohammad Mithun, Mahmudullah Riyad, Afif Hossain Dhrubo, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Mohammad Saifuddin, Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, Soumya Sarkar, Mosaddek Hossain Saikat, Sheikh Mahedi Hasan and Shoriful Islam.

Standby: Taijul Islam, Shahidul Islam and Aminul Islam Biplob.
