England has postponed their scheduled tour of Bangladesh for three match ODIs and as many T20Is. The ECB and BCB have confirmed that England's white-ball tour of Bangladesh has been rescheduled to March 2023. That's mean Bangladesh will be out of playing after the Australia series.

So Bangladesh decided to host the Kiwi for a five-match T20I series in September this year, the BCB confirmed on Wednesday (August 4). The two teams will use this series as part of their preparations for the T20 World Cup that will begin in the UAE and Oman the following month.

New Zealand will arrive in Dhaka on August 24 according to the itinerary released by the BCB. The visitors will play a warm-up game on August 29 before the opening game of the series on September 1. All five matches will be played at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

The series will conclude on September 10, just nine days before the resumption of the 2021 IPL in UAE. The series will be vital for Bangladesh before the showpiece event as they look to finetune their side in a format where they are languishing 10th in the rankings. They are currently hosting Australia in a five-match series but their bumper home summer did take a hit with England postponing their visit.

New Zealand will be looking to make the most of the tour as well with conditions for the T20 World Cup expected to be similar to that in Bangladesh. They last visited these shores eight years ago when the Asian side stunned them 3-0 in the 50-over format.
