Munshiganj fatal road crash: Identity of 9 found

At least 10 passengers, including seven from the same family, were killed and the other four people were critically injured as a bridal party microbus collided with a bus on Friday around 2:00 pm in Sreenagar, Munshiganj.

Identity of the 9 among 10 deceased found. They are — Rashid Bepari, 60, Liza, 15, Aboi, 5, Abdul Mafiz, 60, Tahsan, 3, Renu, 10, Runa, 25, microbus driver Billal and neighbor Keramot Bepari — they all are the residents of Kankasa village of Louhajang Upazila, Munshiganj.

The collision took place between the Mawa-bound Swadhin Paribahan bus left from Dhaka and a Dhaka-bound micro left from Kankasa of Louhajang Upazila of the district, said Abdul Baten, officer-in-charge (OC) of Hashara Highway Police Outpost. 

Six died on the spot and two died on the way to Sreenagar Upazila Health Complex. Later, two died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, the OC Baten added.
