Mumbai’s easy victory over Delhi in Ishan’s fifty

Mumbai Indians on Saturday has defeated Delhi Capitals by 9 wickets with the help of Ishan Kishan’s fifty in the 13th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) Saturday.
Batting first, Delhi gave Mumbai a target of only 111 runs. Mumbai’s two openers Ishan Kisan and Quinton de Kock have been playing aggressively from the beginning after chasing a modest target.
Ishan continued to play even though de Kock returned in 68 runs for the team; Quinton de Kock scored 26 runs in 28 balls. In the end, Ishan Kishan smashed an unbeaten 72 off 47 balls to be named man of the match as Mumbai. On the other hand, Suryakumar Yadav was unbeaten on 12 runs. Anrich Nortje took the only wicket for Delhi.
Earlier in the day, Mumbai decided to field after winning the toss at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan opened the innings for Delhi. Dhawan returned to the dressing room before opening the run record, Prithvi could not score more than 10 runs. Trent Boult returns both to the dressing room.
Captain Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant both continued to lead Delhi at a slow pace. Iyer was stamped by Rahul Chahar with a maximum of 25 runs for the team. After that, his team could not turn around. Everyone joins the procession.
Pant scored the highest 21 runs among the rest. Except for Shimron Hetmyer (11) and Kagiso Rabada (12), no one was able to run in the double digits.
Jasprit Bumrah and rent Boult took three wickets each for Mumbai. Besides, Rahul Chahar and Nathan Coulter-Nile shared one wicket each.
Both Mumbai and Delhi have played 13 matches each in the current IPL. Mumbai have already secured their place in the playoffs with 18 points. Delhi is in the top three with 14 points.
