A court in Mumbai has ordered to sent Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan, into judicial custody for 14 days in a drugs-on-cruise case.
The court on Thursday rejected the plea of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) lawyer to keep the rest of the detainees, including Aryan, in their custody.
The judge claimed that the NCB had given enough time to interrogate them under their custody, no more “questioning is needed”. The judge then ordered to send Aryan and others in judicial custody for 14 days.
However, Shah Rukh Khan’s lawyer immediately appealed for an interim bail for Aryan and others. That interim bail hearing will be held today (Friday).
The court ordered Aryan to keep in the custody of the NCB till Thursday (October 7). Aryan spent four days in a closed room of the central investigation agency.
It was learned that Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan assisted during the interrogation. However, no drugs were found from him.
Shah Rukh Khan’s son’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde said “very small amount of drugs” were recovered from Arbaaz and Achit. According to him, Aryan has an acquaintance with them, however, he did not collect drugs from anyone at that party.
