Bangladesh national cricket team Test captain Mominul Haque has been ruled out of the Bangabandhu T20 Cup after injuring his finger during playing in the tournament. He is going to Dubai for surgery on his index finger.
Cricketers feel comfortable to seek treatment abroad if given the opportunity. Muminul is unable to travel to India, England, Australia or Singapore due to coronavirus and quarantine restrictions. However, the Test captain is able to go to the UAE for treatment as an alternative to Dhaka.
If he goes to Dubai, Muminul will be able to take medical services without quarantine. That’s why he is going there. The left-handed batsman can catch a flight to Dubai today if he gets a visa.
About this, Muminul said, “At first, I thought to perform the surgery in Dhaka, but later found out that many Bangladeshis are now receiving treatment in Dubai. Most of the doctors at the hospital I contacted in Dubai are American and Canadian. Maybe, I don’t require surgery. It would be better to put the bone with the machine.”
