Terrorist activities have increased in the Rohingya camp at Ukhiya-Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar after the assassination of seven people, including Rohingya’s top leader Mohib Ullah. After the incident, Rohingyas are spending their days in panic and insecurity.

A delegation from the police headquarters recently visited the camp. The Rohingyas have expressed their panic to them.

Imam Deen Mohammad of Darul Ulum Nadwatul Ulama al-Islamiyah Madrasa at Camp No. 18 in Ukhiya said the activities of terrorist groups like ARSA, Al Yakin, RSO, Islami Mahat are visible in the camp. Residents are always scared due to terrorists, as a result, the situation in the camp has been tense for the last few days.

Representatives from the police headquarters spoke to residents of the camp, including Imam Deen Mohammad. They then observed the situation in the camp.

Additional DIG M Khurshid Hossain of the operations department at the police headquarters said, “There is nothing wrong with our efforts to identify and arrest the terrorists operating in the Rohingya camps. At the same time, we are working to make the camp environment safer. Security at Rohingya camps will be further strengthened by increasing manpower.”
