Mohib Ullah murder: Member of ‘Killing Squad’ detained

Police have claimed that a member of the ‘Killing Squad’ has been arrested in connection with the assassination of Mohib Ullah, a top Rohingya leader and chairman of the Arakan Rohingya Society for Peace and Human Rights (ARSPH).
“A person who was directly involved in Mohib Ullah’s murder was detained,” SP Naimul Haque, commander of the 14 Armed Police Battalion and also the in-charge of maintaining law and order in the Rohingya camp, told the media on Saturday morning. “We also able to unravel the mystery of the murder.”
Details will be given to the journalists at noon, SP Naimul Haque added.
Mohib Ullah, a top Rohingya leader, was shot dead by miscreants inside the camp at around 8:30 pm on September 29.
Habib Ullah, younger brother of Mohib Ullah, filed a case with Ukhiya Police Station on September 30 accusing 15 to 20 unidentified persons.
Police have so far arrested five suspects in the incident. One of them, a Rohingya named Elias, made a confessional statement.
