Modi may visit Dhaka to celebrate 50 years of independence

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi may visit Bangladesh on March 26 to join the nation’s celebration of the 50 years of independence, said Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen.
The Foreign Minister said this after a meeting with the newly appointed Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Vikram Doraiswami at the state guest house Padma on Sunday.
There will be a virtual meeting between Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 16, he added.
Foreign Minister said, “We’ve invited him (Narendra Modi) and they accepted the invitation in principle.”
Meanwhile, preparations have been made for Narendra Modi’s virtual meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the occasion of the Victory Day on December 16, he added.
