Miraz removes Madhevere, Zimbabwe 6 down

Off-spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz picked up the wicket of Wesley Madhevere (35) as Zimbabwe lost their 6th wicket in their way to chase 322/6 against Bangladesh in the first ODI at Sylhet today.
End of over 24, Zimbabwe 84/6, Tinotenda Mutombodzi (0) and Richmond Mutumbami(0) are in the batting.
Mustafizur Rahman removed Sikandar Raza (18) as Zimbabwe lost their 5th wicket to 79 in their chase 322 in the first ODI against host Bangladesh at Sylhet.
Earlier, spinner Taijul Islam took the wicket of BRM Taylor for 8 and Zimbabwe lost their 4th wicket to 44.
Skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza struck in his second over to take the wickets of Chibhabha and Zimbabwe lost their 3rd wicket to 23 in 9.4 overs.
Mohammad Saifuddin brought the first breakthrough for Bangladesh in the 4th ball of the 2nd over as Zimbabwe lost their opener Tinashe Kamunhukamwe (1) to 1. He also took the wicket of Chakabva (11). Chakabva goes across the stumps and paddle sweeps one through fine leg. The ball goes to the boundary but the players appeal. Umpire seems to be unconvinced and Bangladesh go for a review. It showed that the ball that was in line would go onto hit middle stumps. Decision reverted and Saifuddin gets his second.
Earlier, Opener Liton Kumar Das scored his second ton as Bangladesh post 321/6, their highest ODI total against Zimbabwe in the first game of the three-match ODI series at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium today.
Liton Das reached his 100 off 95 balls with 10 fours and a six. Later he left the field after being retires hurt on 126 off 105.
Earlier, Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza decided to bat first in the first ODI against Zimbabwe after winning the toss at Sylhet.
Two openers Tamim Iqbal and Liton Das made a 60-run stand in the opening pair. Bangladesh's veteran opening batsman Tamim Iqbal was dismissed for a 43-ball 24 but thanks to Liton Das's quickfire.
In the 2nd wicket stand, Liton Das and Najmul Hossain Shanto added 80 runs. Najmul Hossain Shanto being dismissed by Mutombodzi scoring 29 off 38 with 2 sixes and a four.
Liton Das and Mushfiqur Rahim added 42 runs in the 3rd wicket stand. Mushfiqur Rahim (19) being dismissed by Donald Tiripano shortly after Liton Das touch the 100 marks. Mushfiqur aimed yet another glide down to the third man, but he can only place the ball straight into the gloves of the wicketkeeper behind the stumps.
Liton Das, who left the field after being retired hurt on 126 off 105. Mahmudullah and Mohammad Mithun made 68-run stand in the 4th wicket stand. Mahmudullah being dismissed by Mpofu to 274/4 before scoring 32 off 28. Mithun also dismissed by Mpofu shortly after scored 50 off 41 and Bangladesh lost their 5th wicket to 289. Mehidy Hasan Miraz also dismissed for 7 off 4. But Bangladesh made their highest total in ODI against the visiting side as Mohammad Saifuddin made 28 off 15 with 3 sixes at the end.
For Zimbabwe, CB Mpofu took 2 wickets for 68. CT Mumba, W Madhevere, DT Tiripano, and CT Mutombodzi bagged one wicket each.
