Miking has been done in mosques to mosques to stop rumor over salt price hike in different areas of Ashulia. Through miking it has been said to people not to hit rumor over price hike and shopkeepers asked for sale salt at a fair price.

In the evening through mosque mike in different areas of Ashulia announced, "You will not buy salt at high prices, shopkeepers will not sell at a high price too".

It has been announced through miking of the central mosque in Gumail village of Ashulia - that no one should buy salt at high prices and no shopkeeper should sell salt at high prices.

Shawkat Hossain, the imam and Khatib of the central mosque of Gumail said that many people have been confused by rumors since the afternoon over salt price hike. Many people try to buy and store salt even after having salt in their homes, distracted by the news that prices will rise. Later it has been known that the news of salt price hike is rumors. So he made this announcement to make people aware.

Meanwhile, police visited different markets and monitored several markets including Bangla Bazar, Bipail, Jamgara and Zirani Bazar in the evening. Vendors have been sentenced by the mobile court for selling salt at higher prices from different regions outside Dhaka.

There have been rumors that salt prices will rise across the country since Tuesday afternoon.
