Met office predicts storm-rain in 12 regions

Bangladesh Meteorological Department today forecasted storms and rains in 12 parts of the country. At the same time, the river port of these 12 regions has been asked to show the warning signal number 1.

This information has been given in the forecast of the inland river port of the country from 5 am to 1 pm on Friday.

Met office bulletin said, "Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind 45-60 kmph is likely to occur at most places over  Dhaka, Faridpur, Jashore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, Cox's Bazar and Sylhet region from south/south-east. The wind can blow. River ports in these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1."

Dhaka has recorded 28 mm of rain in the last 24 hours. According to the forecast for Dhaka and adjoining areas from 7 am to 1 pm, the sky may be partly cloudy to cloudy. There may be rain/thunderstorms. The wind may blow from the south/south-east at a speed of 10 to 15 kmph. Daytime temperatures may remain almost unchanged.
