Messi, Ronaldo mourns death of football legend Maradona

Football legend Diego Maradona died of a heart attack at his home on Wednesday. He was 60 years old at the time of his death.

The death of the Argentine legend has cast a shadow of mourning in the sports arena.

Meanwhile, Argentine football superstar ‘The Magician’ Lionel Messi and Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo were expressed deep grief over the legend’s death by posting a picture taken with Maradona on social media.

On Instagram, Messi posted a picture of him with Diego Maradona, captioned: “A very sad day for all Argentines and football. He has left us but he will never leave us because Diego is eternal. I will keep all the beautiful moments that I lived with him and would like to send my condolences to all his family and friends. RIP.”

On the other hand, Cristiano Ronaldo wrote on Twitter, “Today I say goodbye to a friend and the world says goodbye to an eternal genius. One of the best ever. An unparalleled magician. He leaves too soon, but leaves a legacy without limits and a void that will never be filled. Rest in peace, ace. You will never be forgotten.”
