Max 10yrs jail for PSC question leak: Cabinet secy

The Cabinet today has approved in principle the draft of the ‘Bangladesh Public Service Commission Act, 2021’ with the provision of imprisonment from 3 years to a maximum of 10 years.
The approval was given at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday.
On the day, the Prime Minister attended the meeting virtually from the Ganabhaban in the capital and the ministers, state ministers from the Cabinet Division attended the meeting from the Secretariat.
After the meeting, Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam announced the approval at a press conference at the Secretariat.
The Cabinet Secretary said that according to the draft law, those involved in the question leak have been given a maximum of 10 years imprisonment, a minimum of 3 years imprisonment and a fine.
