Massive blaze at Turag slum brought under control

The massive fire that broke out at a sand slum in the Turag area in the capital’s Uttara has been brought under control. Five units of the fire service carried out the operation for 45 minutes and brought the fire under control.
The fire came under control at 1:45 pm on Wednesday, confirmed a source in the fire service.
Earlier, a fire broke out at the sand slam in Turag at 1:00 pm. Upon receiving news, the five units of fire service reached the spot and started extinguishing the fire. After a 45-minute operation, firefighters were able to contain the blaze.
Meanwhile, the fire service personnel at the spot could not give any information about the onset of the fire.
