Maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla, and Payra have been advised to keep hoisted local cautionary signal number three as steep pressure gradient lies over North Bay due to strong monsoon.
“Due to strong monsoon, steep pressure gradient lies over North Bay. Under its influence, squally weather may affect the maritime ports, the North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh,” said a weather bulletin on Monday morning.
All fishing boats and trawlers over the North Bay have been advised to come close to the coast and proceed with caution until further notice.
They have also been advised not to venture into the deep sea.
