Man commits suicide unable to pay debt

A man named Sanjit Barua has committed suicide taking poison after failing to pay installment loans at Raozan of Chattogram. The incident took place in Natunhat Fatenagar area of ​​the upazila on Friday afternoon.

The dead identified as Sanjit Barua, son of Hirendra Lal Barua of the area. He had a tailor shop in the area.

According to locals, Sanjit opened the shop with loans from various NGOs. Although it was going well at first, the business collapsed for the last one year due to Corona. As a result, he failed to pay the installment and got drunk. He was later rescued and taken to Chattogram Medical College (CMC) Hospital.

ASI Shilbrat Barua of  Chattogram Medical College Hospital police outpost said the man was brought to the emergency department of the hospital by his relatives in the afternoon. But he has died before he was taken to the hospital. The body has been sent to the morgue.
