West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has thanked Foreign Minister Dr. A. K. Abdul Momen for the congratulatory letter and expressed her gratitude.
She thanked the Foreign Minister in a letter on Thursday. This information was obtained in a press release sent from the ministry.
In the letter, Mamata mentioned that the people of West Bengal voted in favor of maintaining and strengthening development, peace, unity and solidarity. Bangladesh and West Bengal are geographically bound by friendship, brotherhood, common culture and tradition.
She expressed hope that the relationship between these emotions and feelings will be further strengthened in the future.
Expressing hope of taking West Bengal to another height, Mamata Banerjee said, “Your best wishes will be helpful in this journey.”
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s party, the Trinamool Congress, won a historic victory in the state’s assembly elections. In this regard, Dr. Abdul Momen congratulated her sincerely in a letter on May 5.
