Mahbubey Alam laid to rest at Buddhijibi Graveyard

Attorney General Mahbubey Alam was laid to rest at Mirpur Buddhijibi Graveyard in the capital
Attorney General Mahbubey Alam was laid to rest at Mirpur Buddhijibi Graveyard in the capital around 1:00 pm on Monday.
Earlier around 12:00 am, the namaz-e-janaza of the top law officer of the state was held at Supreme Court premises.
Later, on behalf of President Md Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, wreaths were placed in honour of Advocate Mahbubey Alam. Various organizations also paid their last respects to him.
Besides, Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain, Law Minister Anisul Huq, Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujan, Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim, judges of the Appellate and High Court Divisions of the Supreme Court, Dhaka South City Corporation Mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh and many others paid tribute to Mahbubey Alam by placing wreaths.
Earlier in the morning, Mahbubey Alam's body was brought to his Eskaton residence in the morning from the mortuary of Dhaka's Combined Military Hospital (CMH). From there, the car carrying his body reached the Supreme Court premises at 10:41 am.
Mahbubey Alam passed away at CMH around 7:25 pm on Sunday. He was admitted to the hospital on September 4. He was taken to the ICU on the morning of September 18 after his health condition suddenly deteriorated. His physical condition began to improve from September 19. Later on September 20, he tested negative for coronavirus. However, his physical condition started deteriorating again.
