Defending champions Real Madrid faced Real Sociedad in the La Liga on Monday. The Los Blancos somehow equal the losing match at the last-minute goal.

Madrid started their campaign this season with a goalless draw with Sociedad. Zinedine Zidane’s side were the favorites at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium. But in the first 20 minutes, neither team could create a very good opportunity.

In the 21st minute of the match, Mariano Diaz headed in a great cross by Lucas Vázquez from the right byline. After the ball bounced off the crossbar, Marco Asensio’s shot bounced off the opponent’s leg, as a result, Madrid failed to score first.

Raphaël Varane’s header from the corner also lands on the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Álex Remiro somehow pushed the ball by punching a strong shot from a distance by Luka Modrić.

Sociedad started offensively after the break. In that continuation, they got success in the 55th minute. Portu scored with a great header from Nacho Monreal’s cross. Thibaut Courtois, who had kept the net intact in the previous three matches, saw the ball stuck in the net at the crossbar.

The frustration grows as time goes on in the Real camp, resulting in the attack one after another. When Rodrygo’s shot missed in the 84th minute, they were in danger of losing the match.

With one minute left in the allotted time, Vinícius Júnior gave relief to the Los Blancos. Vázquez passed the ball to Vinícius after getting the ball in the back heel of Federico Valverde. The substituted Brazilian forward found the address with a right-foot shot.

Real could not return in no. 2 positions to the table after losing four points in a row. They now have 53 points from 16 wins and five draws in 25 matches. Ever-rivals Barcelona is also in no. 2 position with equal points.

Atlético Madrid is at the top with 58 points. Sevilla is at number four with 48 points from 24 matches. Sociedad is at number five with 42 points in 25 matches.
