MMCH reports another 6 COVID deaths with 7.12pc positivity rate

Six more deaths were reported in the COVID-19 unit of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH) in the last 24 hours till Thursday morning, among the deaths, one tested positive for Covid-19 and five had its symptoms.
Dr Mohiuddin Khan Moon, a focal person of the hospital’s COVID unit, has confirmed the information on Friday morning (September 17).
The deceased who died from COVID-19 was from Mymensingh. Besides, five of the deceased, who had been suffering from COVID symptoms, two from Netrokona, one each from Mymensingh’s Bhaluka, Tangail’s Ghatail and Gazipur’s Sreepur.
Dr Mohiuddin Khan Moon said a total of 92 patients are now undergoing treatment at the COVID unit. Some eight people have been admitted in the last 24 hours while 28 patients have returned home after recovery.
Meanwhile, Mymensingh District Civil Surgeon Dr Mohammad Nazrul Islam said, “In the last 24 hours, 23 more COVID patients have been diagnosed after testing 359 samples in the Mymensingh district with a detection rate of 7.12 percent.”
