MMCH counts another four fatalities

Four more people died at the COVID unit of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH) in the last 24 hours, among these, two died of Covid-19 and two died with COVID symptoms.
“One of the two who died in the unit between 8 am on Wednesday till 8 am on Thursday was a resident of Jamalpur and the other a resident of Netrokona. Besides, two who died with COVID symptoms are the residents of Mymensingh,” MMCH COVID unit spokesman Dr. Mohiuddin Khan Moon said on Thursday morning, confirming the matter.
Dr. Moon added that a total of 129 people including 26 newly admitted are currently hospitalized at the COVID unit - 12 of them are in ICU. Besides, 14 returned home after recovery.
District Civil Surgeon Dr. Nazrul Islam said as many as 401 samples were tested in the preceding 24 hours, yielding the virus positivity in 20 people with a detection rate of 4.99 percent. So far, 20,721 people have recovered from the Covid-19 in the district.
