MMCH Covid unit counts 6 more deaths

Six more deaths were reported in the COVID-19 unit of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH) in the last 24 hours till Wednesday morning. Among the deaths, one tested positive for Covid-19 and five had its symptoms.

Dr Mohiuddin Khan Moon, the focal person of the hospital's Covid unit, has confirmed the information this morning (September 29).

Three of the deceased were from Mymensingh and one each was from Jamalpur, Gazipur and Netrokona districts.

He said a total of 105 patients are now undergoing treatment at the Corona unit. A total of 39 people have been admitted in the last 24 hours while 16 patients have returned home after recovering.

Meanwhile, Mymensingh District Civil Surgeon Dr Mohammad Nazrul Islam said, "In the last 24 hours, 13 more COVID patients have been diagnosed after testing 315 samples in the Mymensingh district.
