MBBS admission test underway as per hygiene rules

Admission test for the first year of MBBS for the 2020-21 academic year has started simultaneously across the country from 10:00 am on Friday in compliance with the hygiene rules.
The exam will continue till 11:00 am. About 1,22,874 admission seekers have taken part in the examination at 55 venues in 19 centers.
Earlier, the DMP instructed the candidates to come to the center by wearing masks. There is also a hand sanitizer with a thermal scanner, disinfectant auto spray machine for measuring the temperature at the entrance of each test center.
Officials of the Bureau of Health Education said the preparations have been made to take the test in compliance with all types of hygiene rules. “Isolation rooms with oxygen cylinder facilities” have been provided in the centers along with first aid by making it compulsory to wear masks, they said.
Meanwhile, it has been banned to bring all kinds of electronic devices in the examination center to keep the medical admission test free from cheats. There is enough police personnel deployed in each center. There is also a mobile court.
This year, 1,22,761 students have applied for the exam. As many as 28 students contested for each seat. 47,000 students are participating in the medical admission test in Dhaka metropolis’ 15 centers.
