Low likely to form in next 72 hours

As an outlook for the next 72 hours, Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Thursday predicted, "A low-pressure area is likely to form over the north Andaman Sea and adjoining area at the end period."
The Met Office also predicted light to moderate rain or thunder showers at many places over the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9:00 am today.
"Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Chattogram division and at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal and Sylhet divisions," said a Met Office release issued this morning.
Besides, day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Country's maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded 35.6 degrees Celsius at Jashore in Khulna division and minimum temperature today was 23.8 degrees Celsius at Tangail in Dhaka division.
Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6:00 am today was recorded 53 millimeters (mm) at Dimla in Rangpur.
Today's sunset at 5:40 pm and tomorrow's sunrise at 5:53 am at Dhaka.
