Lohajang AL president dies

Munshiganj's Lohajang upazila Awami League president and former Upazila Parishad Chairman Fakir Mohammad Abdul Hamid has died. He was 78.

He left the last breath at Azgar Ali Hospital in Dhaka on Sunday afternoon. He was undergoing treatment for long periods. He left behind a son and four daughters, relatives and wellwishers. He was most familiar to locals as ​​Hamid Fakir.

The first namaz-janaza will be held at the Dhupkhola ground in Esha Dhaka on Sunday. After the second namaz-e-janaza at the Louhajong College ground on Monday, he will be buried at Satgharia graveyard in Haldia UP upazila.

Local MP professor Sagufta Yasmin Emily, attorney general Mahbubey Alam, Louhajang Upazila Chairman Md. Osman Gani Talukder, Upazila Awami League General Secretary Abdur Rashid Shikder expressed deep shock and sorrow in his death.
