Light to moderate rain with gusty wind likely

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at most places and moderately heavy to heavy falls at some places over the country in the next 24 hours ending tomorrow at 9:00 am. 

The information is provided in a weather bulletin issued by the Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Wednesday morning. 

According to BMD weather bulletin, light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at most places over Khulna, Barishal, Dhaka, and Chattogram divisions. 

In the meantime, moderately heavy to heavy rainfalls likely to occur at many places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions. 

Besides, day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country during the period. 

Meanwhile, a low-pressure area over Gangetic West Bengal and the adjoining area now lie over the southern part of Jharkhand and adjoining area of Gangetic West Bengal. 

So, the axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajsthan, Punjab, Hariyana, Uttar Pradesh, the center of the low, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal to Assam across the central part of Bangladesh. As a result, monsoon is active over Bangladesh and moderate to strong over North Bay.

Country’s maximum temperature recorded 35.3 degree Celsius yesterday at Sylhet district while today’s minimum temperature recorded 24.5 degree Celsius at Rangamati of Chattogram division. 

Today’s sunset will be at 6:33 pm and tomorrow’s sunrise will be at 5:34 am.
