Light to moderate rain likely across country

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Wednesday predicted light to moderate rain across the country in the 24 hours commencing at 9:00 am today.
"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at many places over Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions, and at a few places over Mymensingh, Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka and Khulna divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at some places over the country," it said in a release.
Besides, day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The country’s maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded 34.7 degrees Celsius at Chuadanga and today’s minimum temperature was 23.0 degrees Celsius at Sandwip.
The highest rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6.00 am today was recorded 193 millimeters (mm) at Sitakunda in Chattogram.
The sun sets at 6:42 pm today and rises at 5:11 am tomorrow in the capital.
