Libya killings: Case filed against 38 people

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has filed a case against 38 people in connection with human trafficking and the killing of 26 Bangladeshis in Libya. 

The case was filed on Tuesday night under the Prevention and Suppression of Human Trafficking Act and murder charges.

Paltan Police Station OC Abu Bakkar Siddique said CID SI Rashed Fazal filed the case around 10 pm on Tuesday. In the case statement, the names of 38 people have been mentioned as accused while another 30-35 people have been named as unidentified accused.

On May 28, 30 people, including 26 Bangladeshis were shot dead in the Libyan Sahara desert town of Mizda. Eleven more Bangladeshis were injured.
