Legendary musician Jane Alam has passed away (Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’un).
He breathed his last at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital in the capital around 9:30 pm on Tuesday.
Zahirul Islam Sohel, an owner of music production company CD Choice, has confirmed the death of the legendary musician.
He said Jane Alam was infected with COVID-19 a month ago. After recovering from the desease, his condition worsened due to pneumonia. Today he was taken to life support.
Born in Harirampur, Manikganj, Jane Alam debuted in the music industry soon after the Independence. The number of songs sung by him is more than 4000. There are also about 3000 songs written, composed and directed by him.
