Lebanon blast: Bangladesh Embassy launches helpline

A deadly explosion occurred near the Lebanese capital, Beirut, as a result, the Bangladesh Embassy in the country has launched a helpline there. Bangladeshis have been requested to contact the helpline to report the casualties in the blast and inquire about the victims.
This information has been confirmed in a statement from the Bangladesh Embassy on Wednesday, saying that two powerful explosions rocked the Lebanese capital, Beirut, around 6:00 pm on Tuesday. “Hospital sources confirmed that two Bangladeshis died in the incident,” the statement said.
The embassy’s helpline number has been asked to report any more Bangladeshi casualties in the blast. The helpline number of the embassy is +961-81744207.
The deadly blast in Lebanon has killed at least 100 people so far. Besides, more than 4,000 people were injured. The condition of many of the injured is critical. Authorities fear the death toll could rise further.
