The law ministry has refused to give permission to take BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia abroad for better treatment. She was denied permission as there is no law of medical treatment of any convicted person abroad.
A copy of law ministry's opinion reached home ministry on Sunday. There, it is said, no one convicted has access to medical treatment abroad.
BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia's family wants to take her abroad for better treatment, who is now undergoing treatment at the CCU of Evercare Hospital in the capital. Their application reached the law and justice secretary of the law ministry at 11pm on Wednesday.
