Law Minister Anisul Haq was not infected by COVID-19, says Dr. Md. Razaul Haque, Public Relations Officer of the ministry, on Thursday in a statement, informing: “he is at home and healthy.”
He gave the statement in response to the news – Law Minister Anisul Haq infected with COVID-19 – published by several news media and social media.
The statement said Law Minister Anisul Haq was not infected. He is at home and healthy. The news given by several media and social media is not true at all.
“The fact is that a private TV channel called Law Minister yesterday (June 3) to inquire about the physical condition of the Chief Justice of Bangladesh. In response, he told ‘Chief Justice is not infected with the coronavirus. He was admitted to the hospital with chronic asthma and is under medical supervision and is in good health’,” the statement further said.
The Law Minister’s statement was vaguely presented on the channel, leading to confusion that he was suffering from the virus. Some media outlets even reported, “Chief Justice has been admitted to CMH with COVID-19 symptoms.” The law minister has confirmed the matter and said he did not say this. “These are rumors and baseless news,” said the statement of the Ministry of Law.
The Law Minister is in good health and is doing all kinds of office work, the statement added.
