Launch capsize: 5 more bodies found floating in Shitalakkhya

The bodies of five more people have been recovered as a launch capsized in the Shitalakkhya river in Narayanganj on Sunday evening after being hit by a tanker.
The fire service and naval police on Tuesday morning recovered the bodies which were floating in the river.
Narayanganj Fire Service Deputy Assistant Director Abdullah Al Arefin said a total of 34 bodies were recovered in the incident.
Earlier, the bodies of five women were recovered on Sunday night after the launch sank. Following the day, the bodies of a child and 21 other people were recovered from the launch on Monday morning and afternoon. The bodies of four more people including two children were recovered on the same night.
According to BIWTA and the fire service, 29 bodies were recovered by Monday while the bodies of five more people were recovered on Tuesday morning.
