Language movement-liberation war’s colorful paintings on wall

8th December is the ‘Brahamanbaria Free Day’. For celebrating the day, the walls of the Brahmanbaria High School are being painted of language movement and the liberation war paintings.

The celebration is organized by the ‘Amrai Bramanbaria’ organization where 30 members of Brahmanbaria Shishu Natyam paintings the history of language movement and the heroism of the liberation war on the wall. The wall has been 45 blocks where language movement, the speech of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on March 7, massacres, front war, letter of the 71’s, various images of the war of liberation including refugees are being painted. The painting activities begin on November 28 will continue till December 7.

Abu Sayem Bhuiyan, a student of Bangladesh Gas Fields School and College, said, “During the war of liberation I drawn a picture of refugees. I tried to paint the image beautifully. It is nice to have the opportunity to paint this picture.”

Falguni Mallick, a student of Brahmanbaria Government Women’s College, said, “I am drawing a picture of the language movement. The drawing is almost over. I felt interested in being present in the language movement while drawing the picture. The feeling of being painting this picture is very unique to me.”

In this regard, Mustafa Kamal, headmaster of Brahmanbaria High School, said the language movement and liberation war had been painted in the school walls organized by the ‘Amrai Bramanbaria’ organization on the occasion of ‘Brahmanbaria Free Day’. Students are learning many things about the liberation war.

Founder of the ‘Amrai Brahmanbaria’ organization, Bibardhan Roy Emon, said the initiative was taken to spread the spirit of liberation war among the students of the school.

As part of the program, ‘ Rongin Hobe Amader School o College’ for five years an initiative was taken to paint the walls of the school and college by advertisement free and painted language movement and liberation war. And this year, the walls of the Brahmanbaria High School are being painted with various images of language movement and liberation war for the purposes of the advertisement-free wall of the program. Students will know the history of the language movement and the liberation war as the walls are being ad-free. All the works have been go-ahead for the day ‘Brahmanbaria Free day’. On this day, everyone will celebrate the rejoice victory.

He also said that at 8 am on December 8, eight freedom fighters of the district will inaugurate the ‘ Rongin Hobe Amader School o College’ program.
