In the evening, rumors spread throughout the market and surrounding villages that two young men had been arrested for blasphemy. Excited at this time, the agitated people broke the doors and windows of the Union Parishad (UP) building, snatched Jewel from the administration and beat him to death. Later, the body was dragged to Patgram Burimari Highway and burnt. At that time, the agitated people set fire to the highway and blocked it.
