LPG gas prices fall

The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has refixed the retail price of 12.5 kg bottled liquified petroleum gas (LPG) marketed by private companies from Tk975 to Tk906, while the government at LPG gas price remained unchanged at Tk591.

The new prices were announced by the energy regulator BERC at an online press conference on Thursday following the fall of price in the international market. The new price will be effective from May 1.

The price of LPG used in cars has been reduced from Tk 48.92 to Tk 44.80.

BERC chairman Abdul Jalil said, "The private companies’ LPG price was fixed on the basis of Saudi CP".
