Kosovo wants to increase economic-cultural ties with Bangladesh

Kosovo wants to increase economic ties with Bangladesh as well as increase cooperation in the cultural sector, said Guner Ureya, newly appointed Ambassador to Dhaka.

The new ambassador of Kosovo Republic to Bangladesh, Guner Ureya, said this during a courtesy call with State Minister for Culture KM Khalid at his Secretariat's office on Sunday. During the meeting, cooperation in the fields of education, culture, and tourism were highlighted.

The State Minister for Culture said, we have already been signed Cultural Cooperation Agreement with 44 countries to make our culture more rich and diverse by taking cultural elements from other countries of the world. Under this agreement, cultural exchange activities are underway.

He said the agreement would be signed with several other countries soon. Accordingly, we want to sign a cultural agreement with the Balkan nation Kosovo. The necessary steps will be taken for that purpose.

Kosovo's ambassador Guner Ureya said, "We want to build economic ties with Bangladesh as well as increase cooperation in the cultural sector." I would like to start cultural exchange activities. Besides, we can use Bangladesh's experience in the field of archaeological artifacts, museum and library management.

Joint secretary of the State Minister for Cultural Affairs Fahimul Islam, State Minister's personal secretary Zahidul Islam, Senior Assistant Secretary Jasmine Nahar and Executive Assistant to the Kosovo Embassy in Dhaka, Akhand Surid were present.
