Kdrama star Song Yoo-jung dies aged 26

South Korean television actress and model Song Yoo-jung has died only at the age of 26. The cause of her death was not immediately known, but it is initially believed that the actress may have committed suicide.
“Song Yoo-jung died in Seoul, South Korea, on Saturday (23 January),” confirmed the actress’s agency on the social media, reporting that “her funeral has been held in secret.”
However, the agency did not provide any details about the cause of the death of the actress.
The Korean star started her career in 2013 as a model for a well-known cosmetics company. The same year, she starred in the television drama ‘Golden Rainbow’. Besides, she has also acted as a supporting actress in two more dramas.
She gained huge popularity by starring in the MBC TV series ‘Make a Wish’. Song was in a total of 120 episodes in 2014 and 2015. Her notable series include ‘School 2017’, ‘Dear My Name’.
Over the past few years, Korea’s entertainment industry has witnessed a spate of suicides by young stars. K-pop star Kim Jong-hyun committed suicide in 2019 at the age of 27. The body of the 25-year-old singer, actress Sulli was later recovered from her residence. Another K-pop star, Goo Hara, died at just 26 years old. As per that sources, it is believed that Song Yoo-jung also committed suicide.
