Kazi Hayat at ICU in critical condition

Renowned filmmaker and actor Kazi Hayat has been taken to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) who admitted to a hospital in the capital after being infected with coronavirus (Covid-19).
Confirming the matter, Kazi Hayat’s son film star Kazi Maruf said he was taken to the ICU at around 9:00 pm on Sunday.
“20 liters of oxygen was needed when father’s condition got worsened. It took less before. Treatment is underway,” Kazi Maruf said on Sunday night, urging the countrymen to pray for his father.
“Mother is also infected with coronavirus, however, she is fine now. She is also in the hospital,” he added.
Kazi Hayat informed on March 10 that he and his wife was diagnosed with Covid-19 and admitted to a hospital in the capital on March 15. Their treatment is going on there.
Meanwhile, Kazi Maruf recently returned to the country from the United States as his parents were infected with the virus.
Kazi Hayat, a famous director of Dhaka cinema, started his career in 1974 as an assistant director. He made his directorial debut in 1979 with the movie ‘The Fire’. The movie ‘Bir’, released in 2020, was his 50th movie.
