India's Karnataka chief minister BS Yediyurappa late Sunday night tweeted he has tested positive for Covid-19 and has been admitted to Manipal Hospitals on the advice of doctors as a precautionary measure.
Taking to Twitter, the Karnataka Chief Minister has requested all those who had come in contact with him to exercise self-quarantine.
"I have tested positive for #coronavirus. Whilst I am fine, I am being hospitalised as a precaution on the recommendation of doctors. I request those who have come in contact with me recently to be observant and exercise self-quarantine," Yediyurappa tweeted.
Karnataka Chief Minister is the fifth BJP leader to test positive for Covid-19 today. Earlier in the day, Union Home Minister Amit Shah tested positive for Covid-19.
