Kabori becomes grandmother few hours after death

Bangla film’s legendary actress, filmmaker, and former MP Sarah Begum Kabori breathed her last at Sheikh Russel Gastroliver Hospital in the capital on April 16. Exactly a few hours after her death, the silver screen actor became the grandmother of a baby girl. 

The baby girl was born in the house of her fourth son Joynal Chishti. But Grandma Kobari could not see her face. The newborn was named Aila. She is the second daughter of Joynal. He has another daughter named Asha.

Confirming the matter to the media, Joynal Chishti’s close relative musician Nahid Kabir Kakoli said Kabori’s daughter-in-law Rowena Ahsan and the newborn were healthy.
Kabori first married Chitta Chowdhury. They had two sons – Anjan Chowdhury and Rizwan Chowdhury. Anjan Chowdhury studied in America and stayed there for a long time. Rizwan Chowdhury also graduated from the United States and is currently working in Dubai.

After their divorce, she married Shafiuddin Sarwar in 1978. For this, Kabori Chowdhury later became Kabori Sarwar from Mina Pal. Later, she took the name Sarah Begum Kabori. They also separated in 2008.

Shafiuddin and Kabori had three sons – Shaker Osman Chishti, Joynal Chishti and Shan Osman Chishti. Among them, Shaker Osman Chishti studied films at Oxford University. The fourth son, Joynal Chishti, is a Canadian expatriate. The youngest Shan Osman Chishti is mentally handicapped.
