Juventus loses 2-1 at Udinese, fails to secure title

Juventus missed a chance to wrap up a record-extending ninth straight Italian league title as it lost 2-1 at relegation-threatened Udinese on Thursday.
Ilija Nestorovski equalized after leading with the Matthijs de Ligt’s opener. Seko Fofana scored the winning goal in added time.
Udinese won at home against Juventus for the first time since 2010. Juventus won the first leg of the league 3-1 at home last December.
Juventus has 80 points from 35 matches with 25 wins and 5 draws. Atalanta is second with 74 points and Inter Milan in third with 73 points.
Juventus, the Italian top league champions since May 6, 2012. The most successful team in the competition touched the milestone of the 3,000th day of retaining the title on Thursday.
