Journalist Mizanur Rahman dies of coronavirus

Senior journalist Mizanur Rahman Khan, joint editor of Prothom Alo, died of Covid-19 at a Dhaka hospital on Monday (Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilahi Rajiun). He was 53.

He breathed his last at Universal Medical College Hospital Ltd in the capital at 6:05 pm. 

Family sources said Mizanur Rahman diagnosed with coronavirus on November 27 last year. Later, he was admitted to a private hospital in early December before being shifted to Universal Medical College Hospital on December 10. Where he died while undergoing treatment at the Incentive Care Unit.

Mizanur Rahman Khan completed his Bachelor's (Honors) and Post-Graduate Degree in Accounting from BM College, Barishal. He had been in journalism for the last three decades.

Mizanur Rahman Khan was the last joint editor of Prothom Alo in his colorful career. He also served as the special correspondent of the daily Jugantar.
