The deadly coronavirus has spread to Japan like many other countries in the world. To combat the virus, the country's government has declared a state of emergency for a month in six affected provinces, including Capital Tokyo.

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe came up with the announcement on Tuesday. The state of emergency will continue till May 6, he said.

Abe said Tokyo, Osaka, Chiba, Kanagawa, Hyogo, Saitama and Fukuoka, all of the seven provinces would be under a state of emergency. After the emergency is issued, the local provincial administration will have the right to implement it.

"We will request people to stay at home during this time," he said. It is not the government's decision to shut down the train or reduce its schedule. The railway authorities will take this decision.

Previously, the Prime Minister of Japan had no power to declare a state of emergency. But last month, a revised bill was passed in the parliament to declare an emergency.

Japan has issued a state of emergency as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of epidemics in Tokyo So that it could not spread like New York City, US.

So far, 92 people have died of Coronavirus in Japan while the number of the infected rise to 3,906. Tokyo is the most affected city in Japan where the number of infected doubled in a week.
