Jamie Day arrives in Dhaka

National football team head coach Jamie Day has arrived in Dhaka after completing his vacation in the UK. Jamie Day went to London on December 4 after the World Cup qualifier against Qatar in Doha.

The English man arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 12 noon on Thursday.

After leaving the country, various rumors were spread about Jamie. There were even rumors that he did not have a job. Eventually, Jamie came to Dhaka and proved that he is still in charge of the Bangladesh national team.

After landing in Dhaka, Jamie Day said, "Now I have to stay in the hotel for 14 days in quarantine. Then I will go to the stadium and watch the league match. I will start the national team camp in February. We have three World Cup qualifiers match left. We have to prepare for it." 

Along with Jamie Day, other national coaches went on vacation from Qatar. Meanwhile, assistant coach Stuart Watkins arrived in Dhaka on January 7. He is in 14-day quarantine at a hotel in the capital. After completing quarantine periods he will go to the field to observe players during league matches.

The second round of the Bangladesh Premier League will end on January 18. Stuart Watkins will be able to watch Saad-Tapu's game from the second episode. Jamie will have to wait till the third round of the league as per government rules he will have to remain in quarantine for 14 days.

Jamie Day will test the players by watching the league to prepare the national team for the remaining 3 matches of the World Cup qualifiers to be held in March and June.
