Bangladesh suffered a massive jolt ahead of the Oman match as the team will miss four important players, including skipper Jamal Bhuyan, due to injury and card problems.

Apart from Jamal Bhuyan, defender Rahmat Mia and midfielder Biplu Ahmed will miss the Oman match for card problems while another midfielder Masuk Mia Jony will miss his next match due to an injury problem.

“Jony suffered an injury in the last match against India. An MRI test of Jony was done on Tuesday and the doctor advised him to take two weeks rest,” said Bangladesh team’s manager Iqbal Hossain.

He said Jamal Bhuyan, Rahmat Mia and Biplu Ahmed will also not be able to play their next match due to card problems as per the FIFA regulations.

Iqbal informed that the rest of the players are well and fit and would play their next match against Oman.

Meanwhile, the Bangladesh team, split into two groups, completed their gym session on Wednesday morning and the booters are expected to have their training session at Qatar University ground from 7 pm to 9 pm (BST) this evening.

Bangladesh placed bottom of group E with two points, will play their last match against Oman scheduled to be held on June 15.

The green jersey earlier played to a 1-1 draw with Afghanistan in their first match of the qualifiers but suffered a 0-2 goal defeat to neighbor India in their second match.
