JU teachers to donate 2-day salary in PM`s fund

Jahangirnagar University Teachers Association (JUTA) have decided to donate their two days salary to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund for the poor and unemployed people in the current circumstances caused by the coronavirus.

The decision was made at an emergency meeting of the Executive Committee of the University Teachers Association on Sunday afternoon.

Professor Mohammad Amjad Hossain, general secretary of the JUTA  told DailyBangladesh that Coronavirus infection becomes pandemic. To prevent this, all the public and private offices, including educational institutions have been kept close. Day labours and poor people are suffering from this across the country.

He also said that as part of humanitarian assistance in such situation, the Executive Committee of Jahangirnagar University Teachers Association decided to donate their two days salary to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund.
