JU student died of ‘dengue’

Dhaka University student Feroz died of dengue fever a day earlier while undergoing treatment at Square Hospital. One day after that, Wu Kheng Nu Rakhine, a 1st-year Pharmacy Department (45th batch) student of the Jahangirnagar University (JU) died of dengue.

She died around 5:30 pm on Saturday. Wu was a resident of Pritilata Hall at the University. Her father's name is Manba or Ang Manba. He is an officer of the Cox's Bazar District Council. Wu Kheng Nu is his only daughter.

It is reported that a few days ago, Wu Kheng Nu Rakhine became dengue attacked on the campus. She was then enrolled in Enam Medical for a few days. Later, when the condition deteriorated, she returned home. On Saturday, she was being taken to Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) after a weeklong fever. He died on his way to CMCH from his home in Cox's Bazar at around 8 pm on Saturday night.

The news of her death has brought a shadow of grief among the teachers and students of Jahangirnagar University.
